James R. Doty – Mind Magic

Summary: „Mind Magic: The Neuroscience of Manifestation and How It Changes Everything“ explores the scientific basis behind manifestation practices, moving beyond pseudoscience to examine what actually happens in the brain when we visualize and set intentions. Dr. James Doty, a neurosurgeon and founding director of Stanford’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research, uses neuroscience research to explain how manifestation affects the brain and body.  The book grounds readers in four key practices that change brain structures: attention, meditation, visualization, and compassion. Doty provides a six-step process for creating the life we want by understanding how intention is manifested in the brain. Rather than relying on mystical explanations, the book offers a scientific approach to help readers „see clearly“ and reclaim their agency in pursuing their dreams.

Why we like it: There are many books on manifestation but only quite few which deal with this topic on a scientific basis. Doty’s book is one of them and absolutely valuable to read.
